While lighting design may seem like a mystery to some, it’s a well-honed craft to us here at Stellar Productions. Our lighting designers do it all to ensure that everything syncs up just right. We plan out the concept, set up the fixtures, program the lights, and operate the production.

It all starts with a plan. Clients tell us their vision for the event and we come up with a plan for how to execute it. Depending on the complexity of the project, we may provide 3D renderings to help clients visualize the concept more accurately.
Part of the planning process may also involve an onsite visit to the venue to determine the logistics. Will we be hanging light fixtures from the ceiling? Is the ceiling strong enough to support hanging light fixtures? Do we have the necessary to connect all lighting fixtures? It’s these types of questions that we ask, among many others, during the initial stages of a collaboration.
Once we know the ins and outs of the venue, our lighting designers get to work creating the design. After it’s approved by you, the client, we’ll program it into the lighting console or media board so we’re ready for the event.
On the day of the event, one of our programmers will be on hand to ensure that everything goes smoothly and to operate the lights.
